"and I am surrounded by a million people, I still feel all alone. Just want to go home. I miss you"
Everything seems temporary to me right now. It seems like in a few months we will go back to our normal lives in Trussville. This is just a phase. I try to push these thoughts out of my head. But somehow I always find myself thinking them again. It's like my subconscious is torturing me by making me think this is all temporary when I know that it isn't. Do I want to move back? Most of the time. Every once in a while something happens and I think about how happy i am that i moved here and had this experience. But then I see how much I am missing out on in trussville, and I want it back. I want my home back. And then to make it worse, the thoughts of this being temporary haunt me and I get excited about going home. Every night, I dream that I still live in the old house. Every morning I wake up and think I am about to feel the soft carpet that covered the upstairs under my feet. Instead, I feel the cold, hard floor of my new bedroom. At this point, I get confused. I wonder where I am. Every morning, I think for a long time about where I am. I look at the unfamiliar walls of my new room. I wonder what my furniture is doing here. I see my calendar across from my bed and see my family on it. After seeing my sister and my mom on the calendar, I always remember. I live in cullman. As if my brain wants to further confuse me, I feel like this is all temporary. And the feeling stays with me until the next night when I have the same dream. The next morning I go through the same motions. Of course, I am used to it now. Going through the motions, that is. I am by no means used to living 30 minutes from the nearest wal-mart. I am not used to not having normal friends that I can carry on a normal conversation with. I am not used to seeing boys with dip in their mouth. I am not used to the smell of people smoking out back on the school campus. Only one thing seems familiar to me and that is church. When I meet people at church, I already feel connected to them. Like I know them. I am automatically comfortable around everyone at church. In the middle of a place completely unfamiliar, it is wonderful to have a place to go that has a sense of familiarity to it. With everything else seeming oddly temporary, church is the one thing that seems permanent. When I live somewhere that I can't even trust my shower to stay hot after being in it for 10 minutes, it is nice to have something that will remain constant. It makes going to school (the most unfamiliar) bearable. It makes convincing my self of the permanence of this house easier. No, I don't think I will fully believe this is permanent for a long time. No, I don't think my dream will stop haunting me at night. No, I don't think that I will get used to the smell of the kid sitting next to me opening a new can of dip. But I can and have gotten used to my new church. And I love it. I am happy. To prove it, I will post my favorite picture.

i have officially been breathing for 15 years.
thats right. i turned fifteen!! woohoo!! i had a great birthday this year and i had a very successful party. unfortunately, we didn't take any pictures.
So on my birthday, I got my permit in Cullman and i passed the test, believe it or not. during lunch, the whole lunchroom sang to me. I was appalled! Don't get me wrong, I was happy that my friends cared enough to sing to me, but I would have preferred for them to do that in private... but other than that, I had a great birthday!! That night, the Sugden's (my adopted family) came over to sing to Abby Sugden (9) and me for our birthday! The next day (Saturday) I went to the Sugden's for Abby's 9th birthday party. All of the little kids swam, and I played with the chickens and talked to sister Sugden, Rohan, and Casey (the two kids closest to my age) and I played with the little kids. I think Abby LOVED her birthday! Then, after Jill and I left the Suggies, we went home for my birthday party where we roasted marshmallows, watched a movie, listened to music, and watched the BYU game! It was way fun!
on a bit of a more random note, if you want to listen to my two favorite songs right now, then listen to "I Found a Boy" and "Don't You Remember?" both by Adele.

Zumba and Lady Gaga... and more
i know it sounds like a tribe name or something, but somehow i really enjoy Zumba. It is really fun, especially when your with other people. It's basically dancing as a work out. I LOVE IT. you have no idea how fun it is. and you can make a fool out of your peers by making them try it! IT'S GREAT.
Okay... i know you guys are probably about to block this website after seeing Lady Gaga's name, but lately, i have LOOOVED her music. I hate most of her music, but when she came out with "The Edge of Glory," i have to admit, i loved. and still do. and THEN she came out with "You and I" and i love that song too! is there something wrong with me? nah... i would never go as far as to say that there is something wrong with me. definitely not.
so earlier this week, there were some major rain storms, and i mean MAJOR, here as a result of Tropical Storm Lee. So on Monday, the power went out, so i went to my adopted family's house. in the middle of eating at their house, the power goes out and it is pitch black. once the parents of my adopted family got some flash lights, i had to go to the bathroom. so instead of trying to pry one of the flashlights from one of the kids, i decided to go in the dark. big mistake. once i got to the hallway where the bathroom is, the youngest boy, Torben, decided it would be hilarious if he scared me.. and let me tell you, it wasnt.... for me. So after he scared me, i screamed and tripped over the cat and the little devil animal scratched me like crazy!!! (#1 reason why i am not a cat person) i could have died.
that was a boring story. pointless too. but hopefully you will forgive me for wasting 2 minutes of your lives. alls im tryin to do is post on my blog every once in a while. hopefully you wont delete me off of your Google reader. haha peace out girl scout.

Believe it or not, i am actually posting on here.
Yes, i am updating my blog. shocker. i know.
So just as a quick update, i just started school at HTHS and am having a grand ole time. here are some pics of life:
Some of the pictures are from a football game. all of my siblings are gone so i rented some siblings... all i could afford were gingers. The ones from chik fil a and the Temple are of my dysfunctional church family. There is a picture of me after seminary shooting an AR-15. part of the Alabama seminary curriculum, is learning to shoot an assault weapon. no joke.

i hope the disorganization of this post is all right with all of you... hopefully i will be better about posting on here, but no promises.

Jill. this ones for you, MY HOMIE G!
Jill, remember when I told you about those MASH results? well I thought I would post about it!
A couple days back I got a new app on my iPod called MASH. yes, it is what you think it is. That game we all have played that determines our "destiny." Well I played this the other night, and guess what?! I GOT THE SAME RESULTS EVERYTIME.... the only thing that changed was my occupation!
My results:

a lot can happen in a year....
It has officially been a year since I updated this, so, most likely, no one will see this post. But that is okay! I AM 14!! woohoo!! I can't believe I made it! I get to go to church dances and wear make-up. Hannah insists that I have gotten a big head since I have started wearing make-up, but I beg to differ; nothing has changed. My head is the same size as before.
On Friday, I attended a Youth fireside and Elder Bednar was there. Whoa. That was the most Spiritual thing I have ever been to. It wasn't your typical fireside, either. It was a Q & A session. Basically, Elder Bednar and his wife were there and he called on people who had their hands raised, and they asked questions. EVERYONE HAD A QUESTION. It could have gone on for hours, but it ended at 9:00. It was wonderful. 4 or 5 stakes were there, so the Chapel was PACKED. (by the way, all of this took place in Huntsville) I got to see my friends from when I lived in Athens, meet new friends, and see an Apostle. I couldn't have asked for a better way to spend my Friday night.
As many of you know, I am slightly lazy. Well, I used to be lazy. I am not nearly as lazy anymore! Lately, I have realized how important it is to get stuff done, and not just spend your day watching TV or sitting at the computer. If you tell my parents I said this, I will deny it, but their advice really does work sometimes.
Being the youngest has a lot of pros. However, it has a few VERY BIG cons. For instance, my mom pays more attention to me, than she does to Hannah, so if Hannah makes a "C" on a test and I make a "B," I am the one who gets in trouble. Another thing, if I merely say a boy is "cute" I get a long lecture about how boys aren't important and I don't need to talk about them. So for all you folks out there that think being the youngest is about being spoiled and being on cloud 9, you are terribly wrong.
Most people post on their blogs about their lives right now, not their plans for the future. Well, I see no reason for me not to do both. So what will I be doing within the next 10-15 years? Here is the lowdown:

Some catching up...
I haven't posted in a while so.... here goes
These past couple weeks have been the best two weeks I have had in a loooonnnnggggg time!! The reasons these have been the best two weeks are because (A) School is out!! (B) The WORST teacher got fired at my school!! (C) I have already started my summer jobs (taking care of dogs, babysitting, etc,.) I am sooo happy :) My life is GREAT!
My sister Jill just graduated from high school. I am pretty excited about that. She is going to be going to college in Utah and in Idaho. This should be interesting. We are going to drive her out there, so that will start my vacationing this summer. After that I am going to relax on Hilton Head Island. I LOVE that place!
Well, that is the update. I will try to update you more often. :)

My shadow in the 97 degree heat :) (not a very good picture because i messed it up in the photo shop... hehe
